This is a safe seat in Washington. That should mean independence and real work on the issues that affect everyday life.

No one should avoid the doctor because they are worried about the bill. I support universal healthcare that includes mental health, dental, vision, and reproductive care so people can address problems early and stay healthy.

Families should not have to choose between earning a paycheck and caring for their children. Affordable childcare and paid family leave help working parents keep their footing and plan for the future.
strong schools & communities
Every child deserves a strong public education and every community deserves to feel safe. That means supporting teachers, funding special education, backing first responders, and promoting responsible gun safety laws.
clean water & accountable government
The air we breathe and the water we drink should never harm our health. We must hold polluters accountable and restore trust in government by banning insider stock trading in congress and reducing dark money.
good jobs & fair pay
If you work full time, you should be able to build a stable life. That means raising the federal minimum wage and protecting the right of workers to organize.
affordable homes & energy bills
Working families should not be competing with hedge funds for starter homes. We need more housing supply and responsible energy policy that keeps monthly bills predictable.
support for veterans & a strong defense
Veterans did their part and we must do ours by modernizing the VA and making care easier to access. At the same time, Congress must ensure our military remains ready and that defense dollars are spent responsibly.
