biography & info
Destiny Wells is a candidate for Indiana’s 7th Congressional District. She is an attorney, U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, and combat veteran with more than two decades of service at the local, state, federal, and multinational levels.
Wells previously served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana and as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Indianapolis. She grew up in a blue-collar Indiana family, built her career in public service, and is raising her children in Center Township.
She is running for Congress because she believes working families deserve representation that is independent, reform-minded, and accountable—not financed by corporate PACs or written by special interests. Wells has pledged to accept no corporate PAC money and to prioritize transparency, consumer protection, and national security in Congress.
a simple brand identity.
The campaign’s visual identity was developed by a local Indianapolis designer who set out to create a brand that reflects the campaign’s core message: clear, direct leadership.
Drawing inspiration from Swiss design and modern political minimalism, the identity relies on strong typography, balanced structure, and a restrained visual palette. Grotesk-style typefaces were chosen for their clarity and neutrality, allowing the message to take priority over decoration.
At the center of the system is a custom wordmark built specifically for the campaign. What may look like a simple typeface at first glance is actually a carefully crafted mark, refined through subtle adjustments to letterforms, spacing, and proportion to create a distinctive and highly legible identity.
The wordmark is punctuated with a simple period, acting as both a visual anchor and a quiet statement of confidence. In many ways it reflects the philosophy behind the design itself: clear, deliberate, and complete.
In a political environment often crowded with symbolism and competing graphics, the Wells campaign chose a simpler approach. The result is a clean, modern brand designed to communicate clearly across yard signs, digital platforms, printed materials, and media coverage.
Because when the message is straightforward, the design should be too.
